Easy online file sharing

July 15th, 2007 by Mohd. Hashim Khan

With the coming of broadband, we now can easily share big files with friends on the internet and mostly we rely on file attachment function of email for this. But the file is limited and what if we want to attach bigger files? There are other file sharing websites too but often what we see that though we were able to upload but the recipient was not able to download it due to some or the other reasons. I found a new file sharing website from where you can send any number of files of up to 500MB size using your existing email id without any trouble. And what’s good that there is no limit on how many times your file gets downloaded.

logitech air mouse

Logitech introduced ‘MX Air Rechargeable Cordless Air Mouse’, its versatile laser mouse that works on the desk and in the air. Similar to the way you use a remote to control a television, when holding the MX Air mouse, you can now lean back and relax while navigating the computer and enjoying media content.

It serves as a hub for digital media, demanding a new way for users to control, consume and enjoy music, photos and videos on the pc. To enable effortless in-air navigation, the new mouse combines three technologies of Freespace motion-control, gesture command and wireless, so people can point, select and play media files with just a flick of the wrist.

The mouse is available in August in USA market with the price tag of 149.99 USD.

Yay! Coupon codes for free!

July 14th, 2007 by Mohd. Hashim Khan

Nowadays I have started shopping online for items that I don’t easily find in my city and soon I found that I am getting good deal at online stores. From my very first purchased I saw some stores also gave me discount coupon’s which I can later redeem for discounts when purchasing more items from them. However a good number of these coupons are left unused and fortunately a website has came up which provides online coupons for many popular online stores like Dell, BestBuy etc. for free. It’s great that now I can get discount whenever I purchase anything online using these coupons and I strongly recommend you this site to have a look before you checkout from any online store. Who knows you may end up saving lots of money to buy some more stuff!

MSI’s Luxium external graphics solution for laptops

July 13th, 2007 by Mohd. Hashim Khan

MSI will be soon launching a new graphic card and this time it’s an external one for laptop users. Displayed at Computex and not officially released yet, many people having laptop with lower graphic power must be delighted. Now one can get fantastic graphics from their laptop as this device houses an x16 PCI Express graphics card, which you can then connect to your notebook via your laptop’s ExpressCard slot. Here this slot is not that PCMCIA slot, but it’s an advanced version of it which can be found in newer laptops.
As in case of most powerful external devices, this one too needs an external power source to fuel the GPU inside. It will also let you connect other devices like speakers, flash drives etc., as it also offers USB and audio connectors like "USB to LAN" connector, S/PDIF in / out, optical audio input, and 7.1-channel Dolby Digital support etc.

However I feel due its external connectivity, full power of GPU will remain untapped.

Blogging can be profitable too

July 12th, 2007 by Mohd. Hashim Khan

As a new blogger I always use to visit successful blogs to know what they are doing, to whom they are affiliated with and get ideas etc. I was posting about stuff I was interested. I am a gadget freak so use to post a lot about gadgets and gizmos, but sometime I use to think that I am publicizing their product and in return these companies offer nothing. Although some visited my blog, posted their comment, emails me personally with appreciation and that use to be my good day. I saw some bloggers placing ads on blogs or better call it advertorial. I was amazed that now these companies are ready to pay us for posting about their products or services! This was all made possible by a website called Payerpost which connected bloggers with advertisers. If you are a new blogger and want to make some real money out of your blog, I recommend payperpost. Apart from this, you can also try affiliate programs and PPP direct which let any advertiser who visited your site to contact you and offer you to write about them. Go, join now and indulge yourself in new standard of blogging!

Breakthrough in Cancer Treatment

July 11th, 2007 by Mohd. Hashim Khan

Not long back cancer was considered an incurable disease and still some cases arise when it cannot be cured. Medical science recent development in the field of ultra sound technology has led to a development of a technology called HIFU (high intensity focused ultrasound) and it has been found very useful in postate cancer treatment . HIFU (sometimes also called as FUS or HIFUS) is a highly precise medical procedure using high-intensity focused ultrasound to heat and destroy pathogenic tissue rapidly. Since quite a high intensity of ultrasound waves are used and it cause heat, it can damage other healthy tissues as well, so to avoid this the whole process is computerized and made sure its done accurately and HIFU is targeted on pathogenic tissues only. These ultrasonic waves cause the rise in temperature within the tissue (65° to 85°C) destroying the diseased tissue by coagulation necrosis. Here with the help of MRI, the whole procedure is accurately performed and this is also sometimes referred as Magnetic Resonance guided Focused Ultrasound (MRgFUS).Using this technique prostate, liver, and boner cancer is treated successfully and trials on other types of cancer are also underway. HIFU devices like ablatherm are mostly used in such treatment due to their high precision and safety. More advanced machines with 3D imaging function etc are also available for those areas where even more precision is required like in brain tumor cases.
