National Pardon

Some people at early age of their life commit mistake and get caught, a criminal record is entered against them and this record is forever which causes lots of problems in life. A person with criminal record cannot easily visit other countries. The National Pardon Center at Canada aims to provide pardon and thereby helping people to remove criminal records. This service is priceless for those people who have, for some reasons acquired a criminal record in their past. Having a criminal record causes major problem at many times in life, for example if that person go for a job, he cannot get that and government jobs are almost impossible for that person. When some crime happens in his area, the person with criminal record is called at police station which surely takes away all the reputation. Such people therefore are always depressed and don’t do well in life only because of a criminal record. This is not good as one chance should always be given to a person to prove himself and live a normal life. The pardons canada is really doing a great work by removing criminal record of such people and helping them to live a normal life like other people once again. Another problem of existence of a criminal record is that it prevents you, by law, from entering the United States of America (US) and many people do want to go to US for jobs. To solve this problem National Pardon Center at Canada also provides US waiver service which clears your criminal record so that you can go US anytime without any problem. This is possible by an application to government by National Pardon which is a non profit organization. Anyone who in interested in this service needs to fill an application, to know more about application and the process you need to visit the National pardon website where you will get all the required details. You can also call them or communicate thru email.

Avoid Windows XP Re-activation

August 27th, 2007 by Mohd. Hashim Khan

If you are a genuine Windows XP user and reinstall windows after some minor hardware changes, XP will ask you re-activate your copy of windows. I feel this is a total waste of time of user and causes incontinence. To avoid this problem, you can do the following:

activate windows

1. Go to folder C:\WINDOWS\system32 and look for a file named wpa.dbl
2. Copy this file to a floppy or CD
3. Now when you reinstall the OS, simple replace this wpa.dbl file from old installation to the new one.
4. Replacing may cause a problem and not get replaced by showing error of “file in use”, so what you do is start the computer in safe-mode (pressing F8 at startup) and then replace the file.
5. Done! You don’t need to activate now!

This trick doesn’t mean that you can install your copy of OS on as many computers as you want, it will only work for one from which the wpa.dbl file was taken.

uTorrent – BitTorrent : threat to privacy!

August 26th, 2007 by Mohd. Hashim Khan

don't use torrent

It has come to notice that torrent clients: uTorrent and BitTorrent may spy on you on what you are downloading and provide information to some anti-piracy group. I am not against this anti-piracy group as piracy in any form is not good. It causes a big loss to software industry every year. However I feel that every one has a right to his / her privacy and by sending information on what user is downloading; these anti-piracy agencies is just breaking that rule. Torrent is a very good medium for legal file sharing and but some people use this network for warez too. Every thing in this world can be both used for good and bad, take example of knife which is used to cut vegetables can also be used to kill someone; similar is the case with torrent network. Stealing information on what people are downloading does not make good sense; something else should be thought of to stop piracy thru torrent. For the time, I’ll say to everyone not to use uTorrent and BitTorrent. Torrent websites like TorrentSpy and BitTorrent.com are also connected with this anti-piracy group so don’t use these websites too.
