Leopard OS Drivers Hint at Santa Rosa

October 29th, 2007 by Mohd. Hashim Khan

apple

Apple will sooner or later release Santa Rosa laptops; there are surely a faithful few who feel their weekly pilgrimages to The Apple Store aren’t being properly respected by Lord Jobs. But new Leopard driver evidence nearly proves that Apple does have Santa Rosa MacBooks (and Mac Minis) in their sights. Some software enthusiasts found a full set of GMA X3100 drivers within Leopard’s files, which are basically for a Santa Rosa chipset with integrated graphics (making it useless for MacBook Pros that use separate graphics cards). But even more interesting that the driver itself was the date it was added.

Tacked on to the OS on just October 11th, this was a last minute addition by Apple. Maybe this means nothing, or maybe this means that we’ll be seeing Santa Rosa laptops sooner as opposed to later. Seeing as the first Santa Rosa laptops hit in May, it’s about damn time this low to moderate update makes its way to Apple’s low-end lineup.

binocular

Good quality binoculars are very useful and a must have thing at home. It comes very handy if you are going out for picnic or just want to see far objects clearly. People who like to watch birds like biology students should definitely get their bird watching binoculars so that they can watch them closely without going near and disturbing them. What I do is that when I don’t have my digital camera, I use these binoculars and keep it in front of the camera of my cell phone and now my phone can take photos of far objects too! Isn’t it a great trick? There are many types of binoculars available in the market like high priced night vision to the simple ones for kids. At OpticsPlanet website, you get all these binoculars and also with free UPS shipping.

There is loan for everyone

loan

Every one of us at least once is life take loan for some kind of work. Some people take it frequently while others hesitate and take only when it’s absolutely needed and they have no other choice left. These people fear of the paper work and heavy interest rates. Fortunately nowadays getting loans is not that difficult and even people with bad credit can get secured loans easily. Although some terms and conditions are there especially for people with bad credit but mostly loans do get approved. However people with bad credit must be extra cautious of loan conditions and take only that amount of loan which they can re-pay easily.

If your plans are big and require more money, you must be looking for a big loan. In this case always go for secured loans as it’s likely to get approved faster and process is also simple. Banks find it easy to approve secured loans as they find it less risky. Also the interest rates are less in case of secured loans. So if you are taking a big loan, it’s wise to go the secured way as you will not like to pay a lot more than you borrowed from the bank.

However some people still might take the unsecured loans and there is a good reason to it; you don’t risk your valued assets! Suppose you take a secured loan on your house and not able to pay the bank on time, your house may be sealed by bank. In unsecured loans, though interest rates are slightly higher but its good (and only option) for people who don’t want to risk their property or they don’t have any valued property on which they can take a secured loan. So there is something good in both the types of loans and choice is yours, take only that which suits your needs the best. There are many websites which offer loans online and you don’t need to go to bank for getting the loan.

Digital Camera buying guide

camera buying guide

If you are planning to buy a digital camera then this is the right time as this is the festival season and you can get some good offers. Ok that was money wise, on the technical part what you should look in a camera are as follows:

Brand and color reproduction: I have seen that every brand of camera has its own characteristic color reproduction. Nikon and Sony has a good natural color reproduction while that of fujitsu is faded type and not at all lively. In Kodak colors are not natural looking and image have color noise. Pentax produces good image tones. Canon produces vibrant colors and lively but not so natural looking. Casio quality is somewhat like that of fujitsu but much better. What you should do that before selecting the brand; you should look at sample photographs and decide which camera is for you.

Zoom: Never ever go for a camera that shows huge digital zoom capability. It’s almost useless. What’s important is Optical zoom. Higher the optical zoom, better is the camera.

MegaPixel: Anything above 3.2MP CCD (cmos/vga is not good) is good for home use if the camera has a good optical zoom capability and uses good quality lens.

Battery: This is very important. Always buy a digital camera which runs on two AAA size pencil battery and can also run on CRV3. Why? A CRV3 battery is a lithium ion battery which is available at quite low cost and offer excellent backup compared to Ni-MH batteries. But as you all know, rechargeable batteries can go down anytime (especially in winter) and if you are outside and cannot recharge the battery then you can just go to any shop and buy two alkaline batteries and continue with your photography work. At least you don’t get struck. In those cameras which have mobile phone type rechargeable batteries, users are left with no option to go home and wait for hours till the battery get charged.
