December 14th, 2007 by Mohd. Hashim Khan

KDE

The new KDE 4 interface is pure eye candy yet it claims to use 40 percent less memory than its earlier versions. The KDE 3.5 version needed 348MB to work smoothly while the new one can manage at 228MB only. In comparison the other Open Source interface GNOME needs 256MB for the basics. No matter how much RAM your system have but its good if new software’s learn to save it. Linux is getting the much needed buzz but for most users who want everything out of the box, Linux still need to do lots of work. Eye candy work space won’t work if the favorite game doesn’t run; this is what most PC users want.

The small LCD screen on the right doesn’t look good at all, it could have been fitted anywhere else giving room for bigger main display too.
