Plane Designers learn from Birds

bird

Birds, bats and insects fly in a chaotic environment full of gusts traveling at speeds similar to their own. Yet they can react almost immediately and adjust with their flexible wings. Roland Piquepaille points out a news release from the University of Michigan where researchers are looking to birds and bats for insights into aerospace engineering. Wei Shyy and his colleagues are learning from solutions developed by nature and applying them to the technology of flight.

The roll rate of the aerobatic A-4 Skyhawk plane is about 720 degrees per second. The roll rate of a barn swallow exceeds 5,000 degrees per second. Select military aircraft can resist gravitational forces of 8-10 G. Many birds regularly experience positive G-forces greater than 10 G and up to 14 G. Flapping flight is inherently uneven, but that’s why it works so well.

Online casinos are a popular destination for online gamers as they find these casino games really interesting to play like blackjack, poker etc and they are also making money from playing these games. There are hundreds of online casino sites and not all of them are known to every one. To solve this problem, there was a need of some website which can list all these casino sites. The onlinecasinolinks.com does a great job by not only listing good online casino sites but also provide full details about then like bonuses, payouts etc. they also review every casino sites so that players can read and know every thing about a particular online casino site which they find interesting and fit for them. There are some casino sites which don’t allow US players and some allow. This site clearly indicates which one does and which one do not allow US players. They even have a separate list of casino sites which allow US players, thus saving lots of time. Overall a good site for every casino player and for new players, they have guides and tips as well.
