Kia Motors unveiled its three SOUL concept cars during Geneva Motor Show.

The trio of concept cars – SOUL Diva, SOUL Burner and SOUL Searcher – was created by Kia’s European design team under the guidance of Kia’s Chief Design Officer, Peter Schreyer.

The Kia SOUL Searcher is the concept that provides a haven of tranquility within the urban jungle, a comfort-zone on four wheels.

An old, lived-in, leather finish is applied to the bonnet, the powered, folding roof and tailgate panel, plus the dashboard, door panels and steering wheel rim. Inside, grey-beige felt is used to cover the floor and the seats for an ambience of comforting domesticity that banishes pandemonium.

“The all-new Kia production car will appeal especially to the young-at-heart. It will defy classification and encourage customers to build an emotional bond with their new car by providing a creative platform that they can customize to match their own character,” declares Gregory Guillaume, Chief Designer Kia Motors Europe.

Ssangyong (www.smotor.com) unveiled the image of its all new high-end large sedan ‘Chairman W’ in Korea market. The new model, a supplement to the company’s current flagship, the ten-year old Chairman, will be a modified version of the all-wheel drive Wz concept that premiered at the Seoul motor show in April.

The Chairman W is equipped with the national largest V8 5,000cc engine and an automatic seven-speed transmission. It is expected to be available in the mid of March. Ssangyong has sold 100,000 units Chairman W since the model was launched in 1997.

Most of us who ride bike daily often feel that bike is not performing like it used to when it was new. You get it serviced and it becomes ok for sometime then again the same sluggishness. This is due to clogged carburetor jets which you can yourself clean. To do it, first clean the bike for any dirt. Wash the whole bike if necessary then carefully detach all the cables like accelerator, choke, and sensors from the carburetor and then remove air filter. Now remove it from the engine too and take out the carburetor apart.

Examine the type of your carburetor and clean it with petrol from outside so that it becomes shining new. Now make sure every tool you use like screwdriver etc and your hand itself are clean and dirt free because now you are going to open it. At the bottom of carburetor, you will find a cover with four screws. Remove these screws and keep them at safe place.

After opening it, you will find a plastic part inside which will look like two small drums attached together. It’s called float. Remove it and then you will see two jets as marked in picture above. Using a clean wrench, take out both of these jets and wash then with petrol. Look though the fine hole of the jet and using a single hair of electric wire, poke it so that you can see the light thru the hole. Fit the jets back to their place and using a paint brush (thick) clean the whole carburetor from inside using petrol. Now fit the float and put the cover back.

You have done the cleaning job now and its time to fir the carburetor back into bike and test. When you have fitted the carburetor, start the bike for first time using choke as the carburetor is dry. Adjust the engine RPM roughly and take the bike out for a short spin but enough to make engine hot. Yeah you will be feeling great now riding the bike. Now come back and adjust the engine RPM using a digital tachometer. If you don’t have it, buy it from any auto market as it’s easily available. Read the bike manual for correct RPM setting. Engine RPM setting is done when engine is hot. Your bike is fully tuned and ready. It will be a good idea to decarbonize the cylinder head and sparkplug if bike is a two stroke one and old.

Note: If you are new to such stuff, please do it under guidance of someone who is knowledgeable. Else I’ll not be responsible if your bike don’t start or become a petrol drinking monster!

BMW presented its SAV (Sports Activity Vehicle) ‘New X5’ in Korea market during 2007 Seoul Motor Show, which is powered by 6-cylinder diesel engine with 235 horsepower and 520Nm torque. The New X5 supports head-up display(HUD), navigation service, and run flat tire(RFT) and it features the company’s four-wheel drive ‘xDrive’ and enhanced DSC(Dynamic Stability Control) functionality.

Mitsubishi Motors Corporation (MMC) and Mitsubishi Motors North America, Inc. debut the Lancer Ralliart to the world at the 2008 North American International Auto Show. Making its global debut, the 2009 Lancer Ralliart is a turbocharged, all-wheel-drive compact sports sedan that will be in showrooms in the summer of 2008.

The Lancer Ralliart model is the latest addition to the sporty Lancer compact car family. This new model reinforces the sporty identity of the Lancer lineup (Lancer, Lancer Ralliart and Lancer Evolution) with aggressive styling and driving performance to be well positioned between the Lancer and the Lancer Evolution models.

Lancer Ralliart is powered by a new 2.0-liter DOHC MIVEC intercooled and turbocharged engine that develops an estimated 235 horsepower. The engine is mated to Mitsubishi’s Twin Clutch-SST gearbox that delivers highly-efficient power transmission while enhancing the sporty driving qualities of the vehicle with lightning-quick, silky-smooth, paddle-actuated shifts or programmed fully-auto modes. The Lancer Ralliart’s full-time 4WD driveline features Mitsubishi’s Active Center Differential (ACD). The ACD unit employs an electronically controlled multi-plate clutch center differential, vectoring drive torque to the front and rear according to different driving conditions to realize the best balance between steering response and traction characteristics on Tarmac, Gravel, or Snow surfaces. Lancer Ralliart is also equipped with a front helical and rear mechanical limited slip differentials.

The Lancer Ralliart exterior is distinguished by its more aggressively styled front bumper design, rear bumper cover, dual outlet muffler and a lightweight aluminum, ducted hood that delivers cooling air to the turbocharger. The interior design places greater emphasis on function and vehicle control. Lancer Ralliart is equipped with FAST key, hands free telephone interface, the same Twin Clutch-SST shifter used on Lancer Evolution, and easily accessible steering column mounted paddle shifters.

Available equipment and options to include: Recaro seats, HID headlights, 650 watt Rockford Fosgate 9-speaker audio system, Sirius satellite radio, power sunroof, and a 30 GB Hard Drive Navigation system.
