Samsung N120 laptop

Laptops are the most preferred computer in both home and offices. Single most important reason is its portability; you can work on it like a workstation and then carry it anywhere you go. However some laptops with huge screen size and bulky components make the laptop heavy and uncomfortable to carry it everywhere. I workout in gym and lift heavy weight but sometimes my laptop causes pain in my hand when I have to keep in hand longer, infact I cannot do that and I always have to find any table so that I can keep it and then work. One day I really got fed up when my laptop battery got finish just before important meeting with client and that day I decided to keep my bulky laptop and home only and buy a second laptop which is small, light weight, has good battery backup so that I don’t have to look for charging points all the time.

I was reading a review at cnet on Samsung’s new N120 laptop and to my surprise; it was really a 100% match of what I was looking for in a laptop. This cute little laptop has a 10.2 inch screen which is just perfect for carrying around and a nice keyboard which feels very comfortable for typing. This laptop also gives me an amazing 10 hours of battery backup, thanks to energy efficient Intel Atom processor while my existing laptop gives me less than 3 hours and that too when I dim the screen brightness. Because I will mostly use my laptop for presentations and even play music when I am with friends, I want good sound output from my laptop and Samsung N120 is a champ on that part too. SRS sound with 2.1 channel speakers gives loud and decent quality sound which most highly priced laptops fail to provide. Talking of price, this laptop comes at a price that will make you smile, at only USD 499; it’s definitely a steal deal. I would strongly suggest my readers to go to your nearest computer shop and try your hands on Samsung N120, and also write your comments; I’ll be reading them all and replying to your queries regarding this product if any.

Samsung LED TV’s launched in India

May 12th, 2009 by admin

Technology used in making television has changed drastically. Long used technology was CRT and it’s still used in making television sets. There were some drawbacks with this CRT technology that led to the development of better technology like plasma, LCD and now LED. CRT TV’s are bulky; don’t offer crisp and clear picture quality. Then came the flat panel TV’s which used plasma for producing images. It was good but images were not as bright as needed for good viewing pleasure. Then came LCD which offered superb contrast ratio and crisp pictures but they lack the smooth motion display capability and never matched the performance of CRT or even plasma.

Now Samsung has introduced LED based flat panel televisions which are not only thin (width of just 2.99 cm) (thinner than LCD TV) but offer best life like picture quality. Thin doesn’t mean that it will have small speakers that will sound like radio. These TV’s will come with amazing surround sound speakers and they offer great movie experience. These TV’s use solid state light emitting diodes to produce picture which means images will be bright, rich in colors and you will get a never before seen contrast. Samsung LED TV use 100 Hz Motion plus technology which means you will have flicker free display and that white cricket ball will never leave a tail behind it on black background which used to be in older LCD TV’s. Like other advanced flat panel TV’s you can hook these televisions with your computer to use as a huge monitor too!

As much as functionality, looks also matter a lot, the crystal design of these Samsung LED TV will attract everyone attention and it will definitely add beauty to your home. It will be neighbors envy object for sure. With such pleasing design, you will want it to look at it all time even when it’s switched off.

viewty smart

LG Electronics announced Viewty Smart, an upgraded version of its Viewty camera phone series. This new model now comes with an Intelligent Shot Mode that makes it easy to take great pictures by automatically analyzing scenes and adjusting camera settings accordingly.

LG’s engineers addressed this issue in the Viewty Smart with Intelligent Shot Mode, which analyzes the subject, background, and lighting conditions and compares the data against seven pre-programmed scenarios to take perfect pictures every time. This feature, still rare on high-end stand alone compact digital cameras, is a first for a camera phones and only available from LG.

Viewty Smart also includes the easy-to-use 3D S-Class UI, which debuted on LG’s ARENA earlier this year. LG has tailored S-Class around Viewty Smart’s camera features with an on-screen dial for instantly switching shot modes and a thumbnail viewer that shows recently taken photos without having to switch to the photo gallery.

Viewty Smart is as good at sharing photos as it is at taking them. Its wide, sharp 3-inch WVGA screen provides full 800 x 480 resolution, great for seeing every detail in pictures and movies. With 7.2 Mbps HSDPA network and Wi-Fi compatibility, Viewty Smart can upload photos over the internet at broadband speeds. With A-GPS based geotagging, friends can even see the exact spot where a photo was taken. The Viewty Smart can also store photos on its 1.5 GB of internal memory or on MicroSD cards up to 32 GB.
