Chinese mobiles banned in India

chinese mobile

Indian government banned use of Chinese mobile phones few days back. It was taken considering threat to county security after the 26/11 Mumbai Terrorist Attack. Reason why these phones will be banned because Chinese phones don’t have IMI number which is unique for every cell phone in the world and missing IMI number is just like a vehicle with no registration number!

People may get annoyed with this decision but let me ask you, Will you use a vehicle with no registration plate, no chassis number and no engine number? Definitely not! So why use a mobile phone which has no identification. I request people to dump these phones right now. These phones were cheap and many of them were clones of high end phones like iPhone, but none of them have IMI number. Besides threat to national security, these phones are a risky item to have in your pocket like insanely loud speakers, poor quality batteries which can explode and most important the bad impression you give to people around you when you take out that Chinese phone from your pocket!

I know people of India don’t like to thro things easily (even I don’t do being an Indian) so what I suggest to people who own or cell a Chinese phone to sterilize the phone! Make it useless for making and receiving calls by removing its SIM holder, microphone and everything that is related to making and receiving calls you find in the phone. A little bit of soldering iron work can help you in this, if you don’t know how to do then contact your nearby geek friend to do it for you. After this you can use the phone as a PMP (portable media player) since more of the Chinese phones are equipped with big LCD screen, loud speakers, microSD card and video playback capability. And finally its time to buy a decent branded phone. Cheers!

happy birthday cd

Yes, it’s the birthday of our dear old friend, compact disk. It has turned 26 today. Its one of the media which has been very popular, very affordable and very reliable too. So with every good thing attached to it, and isn’t it necessary to remember its birthday and celebrate it? So let’s give out all CD’s a break today and not put them in drive, but if possible clean then with soft cloth and keep them properly at their place! Just a crazy idea for some but geeks like me will do it.

400GB Optical Discs

optical disks

Pioneer has developed a 16-layer read-only optical disc (you cannot burn data on it) which claims to store 400GB of data. The per-layer capacity is 25GB, the same as that of a Blu-ray Disc. If this was announced few months back then people will think its totally un-practical to have so much space and data on a single disk but today I see such disk will be of great use for providing high definition content. More people are buying high definition LCD TV’s and these people will experience a great video quality as there will be no need to compress videos and even longer videos will fit on single disk. Still this disk will not be for a mass market as not everyone is equipped well to play such high definition movie at home.

Like me and most of my friends, many people are interested in computers and IT but when it comes to making it their career, they have many doubts and confusion. I will say that it’s always best to take that stream which is of your interest not only because you will do it easily but also better than anyone who has no interest in that stream but doing it due to some reasons. If you have interest in IT field then you must find a way to become an IT professional. First step is to find the right course and right place. There are many certification programs but don’t go for it just because someone you know is doing it. Look for the demand of that course, reputation and scope for a better professional life. Cisco certification program is one such program which I will suggest all my readers to have a look at and compare it with others. Look for the real world training which is most important as just bookish knowledge is not enough, Cisco offers extensive training opportunities to its students which even include online training. Only Cisco Career Certifications program gives you the right knowledge and skills you will need to enter in today’s IT job market and become successful. Cisco name is itself enough to give their courses a level of reputation which no other course can get, so it will be a smart move if you opt for this course and leave all your career related tension behind. I know some of my Indian blog readers must be thinking if it’s available here and I am really excited to tell that yes it is indeed available in India too.
