Today Gigabyte also announced a low-cost PC which will be launched in June this year. This PC will be based on Intel platform and have a display of 7- to 9-inch. This PC will be the full in-house product of Gigabyte.
Black Mustang Club wanted to put together a calendar featuring member’s cars and print it through CafePress. But their dream came to halt when attorney from Ford nixed the project, stating that the calendar photos and ‘anything with one of (member’s) cars in it infringes on Ford’s trademarks which include the use of images of their vehicles. This is ridiculous as people who own Ford cars can not even print photos which have their car in it.

This can be bad move as people will wait for the 3G version and sales of the phone will be dropped drastically. Experts predict that if 3G ver. Tata Motors on January 10, 2008 unveiled their Rs.1 Lakh ($2544) car named Nano (nick named: Lakhtakiya) at Auto Expo in New Delhi India. This is going to be the cheapest car in the world. About 5 years back Mr. Ratan N. Tata, Chairman of the Tata Group and Tata Motors promised this car which is going to be a big hit amongst Indian middle class family who were earlier not able to afford a car. Engine is manufactured by Bosch at $700 price and car is made lighter as much as possible to maximize the performance. The deluxe model of this car will also have AC. I can’t understand how such a small engine will be able to run AC. Mileage of this car is claimed to be around 20 – 22 Kmpl which is quite good if actually achieved on road.
You must have heard of Dell laptop exploding and now a LG laptop also exploded. This laptop belonged to a journalist and it exploded while he was working but he is safe and laptop is now with LG Chem who manufactures battery for finding out the real cause of explosion. The main culprit between all the explosion cases like Dell, Nokia phones and now LG is the Lithium ion battery. A Lithium ion battery which is not manufactures properly using the right material can cause such explosions as far as I know. To reduce the cost, these companies are surely decreasing the quality and this is the reason why such incidents happen.
Good OS will release gOS version 2.0 nicknamed as Rocket, at CES in Las Vegas on Monday, 7th January 2008. This is based on Ubuntu 7.1 ver. But it comes packed with many Google online and offline tools like Google toolbar, Google’s web based email, office and other applications integrated giving it a sense of Google Linux though gOS is not affiliated with Google.
