A week ago Wal-Mart began selling a $200 computer with 1.5 GHz VIA C7 processor and 512 MB of RAM. It’s meant to be used with light weight OS like ubuntu linux etc. The system is fast for work like browsing internet, documents related work but one can’t think of doing graphics work on it. Today when people happily buying Core2Duo based PC for just any use, this $200 computer by Wal-Mart was officially sold out of their online warehouses! I just can’t think of any reason for buying this computer when you can at assemble a Pentium 4 or D based computer for very cheap and you can also later install graphic card to play heavy duty games with ease and of course run windows xp and Vista.
