Reports say that Windows sales were up 20 percent while worldwide PC sales were up only 14 to 16 percent means people who already had computers are also buying windows (who were earlier using pirated ones). Big guys believe that it’s due to WGA and people are forced to buy original stuff. But I have a second thought, after the final release of Vista and when all the branded computer manufacturers started giving pre-installed Vista, many people switched back to XP. This can also add up to the extra 4 – 6% purchase increase which is shown in report.
