Energizer “D” battery was exposed today at newstarget.com and as you can see in the picture above, the “D” size battery had a smaller battery inside. While some people think it’s an AA size battery packed inside “D” sized shell to make more money, but just by looking I can say it’s definitely bigger than AA battery. Energizer was tagged for ripping off its customers but what I feel is fitting a smaller battery with all those plastics casing inside “D” size battery shell (quite well arranged) will not be cheaper to manufacture so there is no intention of energizer to make more profit by doing this. There must be some technical reasons and battery was giving the same output 1.2v and had 2.5Ah capacity as mentioned on the battery case, so customer is getting nothing less than what he can expect from the battery.
