There were reports of dropped calls from iPhone users and it has been causing problems at Apple since the launch of the handset. The problem occurs mainly when users are on the move and the connections attempts to switch between cells, or from 3G to another flavor of network. Latest report from Yahoo News blames onto the shoulders of chipset manufacturer Infineon Technologies. German company supplies the chips which are supposed to make switches between connections seamless but it’s not causing the problem. So its something which any new software / firmware release will not be able to fix as it’s the problem with chip itself.
