MSI’s Luxium external graphics solution for laptops
![]() |
MSI will be soon launching a new graphic card and this time it’s an external one for laptop users. Displayed at Computex and not officially released yet, many people having laptop with lower graphic power must be delighted. Now one can get fantastic graphics from their laptop as this device houses an x16 PCI Express graphics card, which you can then connect to your notebook via your laptop’s ExpressCard slot. Here this slot is not that PCMCIA slot, but it’s an advanced version of it which can be found in newer laptops.

| As in case of most powerful external devices, this one too needs an external power source to fuel the GPU inside. It will also let you connect other devices like speakers, flash drives etc., as it also offers USB and audio connectors like "USB to LAN" connector, S/PDIF in / out, optical audio input, and 7.1-channel Dolby Digital support etc. | ||||

However I feel due its external connectivity, full power of GPU will remain untapped. Images via TGDaily & Aving |
