Samsung Electronics presented world’s first TD-HSDPA mobile phone (model: T578H) during PT EXPOCOMM CHINA 2007. It’s a dual-band phone (TD-HSDPA, GSM 900, GSM 1800) featuring 260,000 color TFT-screen and two cameras (1.3MP and 0.3MP respectively). Using TD-HSDPA technology, the company claims that it takes less than one minute to download five mp3 files of 3mb each, meaning seven times faster than 384Kbps speed of the present 3G technology of TD-SCDMA.
