You may no longer make money from YouTube

Today YouTube announced a major change in their YouTube Partner Program (YPP). How this change affect your earning? A lot I will say and maybe it can go to zero if you are a new YouTuber and still don’t have at least 1000 subscribers. According to the new policy, a YouTube channel may become no longer eligible for monetization if it doesn’t meet the new threshold of 4,000 hours of watch time within the past 12 months and 1,000 subscribers. The channel will also lose access to all monetization tools and features associated with the YouTube Partner Program on February 20, 2018.

The good thing is YouTube has given 30 day’s time frame and within this period if the channel meets this new threshold then the channel will continue to enjoy the partner program. You may read more about this news on YouTube Creators Blog.
