Parents are always concern about their child future and try to get the best possible education their child. Good schooling is crucial but child needs to learn everything on its own and at this point he can dislike studies. Children do want to learn new things only if we present it in better way. Innovative Tutor is doing the same since long by providing a new dimension to learning. This learning center guides children not only for academic excellence but also positive reinforcement, and a custom pattern (and methodology) of education according to each child learning skills. This is very helpful as not every child has the same level of IQ and learning ability. This is going to be a boon for all children (parents as well) and specially those who are little weak in their subjects.

DIY Optical mouse repair

logitech

Today I wanted to post something different, since many days there was no post on DIY topic so decided to give you all a nice tip on repairing your old optical mouse and make it like new once again. My friend Waseem had a Logitech Optical USB mouse which was about 5 years old and its left click button was not responding. This is mostly the problem will all mouse that after some time the button inside the mouse fail to work effectively. What we did here that we took a cheap mouse lying around in junk and took out two buttons (left and right click) from it.

You can easily do it using a soldering iron. I used a traditional 35W soldering iron which I am having since my school days. Here I want to point out that it’s not necessary that all brands will have same type of switch, so make sure you find an identical one. It will also be a good idea to wash the plastic parts of the mouse with soap and water and give it a shiny new and clean the PCB using pure petrol after you have completed the soldering job. Clean only the soldering side of the PCB using a paint brush.

After soldering the new buttons to Logitech mouse, assemble the PCB with wheel mechanism back to the mouse and put the cover back. Connect the mouse and it should work now!

Pentagon computer network Hacked

September 4th, 2007 by

pentagon

Chinese military hacked into a Pentagon computer network in June in the most successful cyber attack on the US defense department. The Pentagon acknowledged shutting down part of a computer system serving the office of Robert Gates, defense secretary, but declined to say who it believed was behind the attack. One senior US official said the Pentagon had pinpointed the exact origins of the attack. Another person familiar with the event said there was a “very high level of confidence…trending towards total certainty” that the PLA was responsible. Hackers from numerous locations in China spent several months probing the Pentagon system before overcoming its defenses, according to people familiar with the matter.

The Pentagon took down the network for more than a week while the attacks continued, and is to conduct a comprehensive diagnosis. “These are multiple wake-up calls stirring us to levels of more aggressive vigilance,” said Richard Lawless, the Pentagon’s top Asia official at the time of the attacks. The Pentagon is still investigating how much data was downloaded, but one person with knowledge of the attack said most of the information was probably “unclassified”. He said the event had forced officials to reconsider the kind of information they send over unsecured e-mail systems.
