So what’s new about this software? We all know it’s good. I call this software as “king” of free security softwares because it was a king always but we never knew. New software comes in market and you cannot say its good just because some so called gurus of net said that it’s good. You have to test and compare it.
It has been years using this software and trust me Spybot never returned empty handed whenever I scanned my PC in case of any trouble. I will not mention name here but most popular free security software which most of you must be having deserves uninstalling right now! Few days back some nasty Trojan and Spyware managed to enter my PC and my antivirus software didn’t detected it.

I felt something fishy going on in my computer like high cpu usage and slow refresh. Here I recalled that I have to update my spybot definition. After a quick web update of both my antivirus software as well as spybot I started scanning. I did the scans in safemode but as usual the antivirus detected nothing. No more waiting.. Straight to Spybot and woo all the nasty creatures were caught. This is not a one time story, similar situations have occurs previously too when antivirus software didn’t detected anything. Although you cannot call this software an antivirus replacement but it’s a must have for all of you.
As human beings cannot be perfect so are the softwares, here spybot disappoints me when I find some threat are pre-checked to ignore during scan:-

So do remember to remove the tick when you install this app.

Pros: Excellent threats detection rate, frequent updates and free (dedicated to most wonderful girl on earth ! Who ? )
Cons: Scanning takes its own sweet time (really not a bad thing as it always do a full scan), some baddies pre-checked for exclusion (now this is not good)
